This site is verified to be compliant to HTML 4.0 and CSS standards as created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Standards compliance is important. I've been both lucky and unlucky with this site. Because I have developed it from a number of places, I could never ensure I had a constant set of tools to develop the html or php.

This ment that I ended up just using a basic text editor wherever I was. It was good because it made me work at the code again, I'd been spoilt by Macromedia Dreamweaver in that respect, but it also made sure I understood exactly what was going on, something I've not truely done since coding using HTML3!

It was good to get into the intricacies of HTML4 and CSS, and I think this site looks good as a result.
